The World Leadership Conferences include a closing night Gala which is centered around the prestigious IWF Hall of Fame Awards that promote continued awareness of, and appreciation for, the seminal contributions of the world’s leading women.

In October 2010, at the World Leadership Conference held in Montreal, the following Canadian women were inducted into the IWF Hall of Fame:

  • The Right Honourable Madam Justice Berverly McLachlin, P.C., Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada
  • Mary Simon, O.C., O.Q., champion of social justice for the Inuit People, particularly Inuit children and youth
  • Julie Payette, O.C., engineer and astronaut.

They join past Canadian recipients Dr. Roberta Bondar, O.C., (2003) astronaut, and Madame Justice Louise Arbour, (2003) UN High Commissioner of Human Rights and former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada.
