Lacking a viable networking vehicle for senior women leaders, two intrepid New York women took the bull by the horn and did something about this.
Elinor Guggenheim and
Eleanor Holmes founded IWF in 1982 and the group has spread across the United States and later around the world. Today, IWF is a world-class leadership association of global importance providing access, information, leadership exchange and development for women on issues of international concern (see
www.iwforum.org).
The focus of this 5,000-member organization present in 24 countries is local programming and participation in international conferences.
