An unforgettable conference in Buenos Aires.

Ask any longtime member what sets IWF apart from all the networking groups for women, and you'll likely be told, "The amazing international conferences." Those of us who attended Women Leaders Rising, the World Cornerstone Conference that took place in Buenos Aires last month, are still talking about the many moments that inspired, enthralled, connected and entertained us.
Linda Hohol remembers a speaker's galvanizing advice, "We need more women in politics, making the big-P policy decisions, and if you don't have the courage to run, then find women who do and support them all the way." Libby Burnham won't forget the exceptional values on food and wine. Donna Scully felt privileged to join the rest of our contingent at the Canadian Embassy for drinks, pictured here ("Our southern neighbours were a bit green with envy").
Mary Rozsa de Coquet recalls how our Argentine hosts literally rolled out the red carpet (and brought out the military band) for an opening champagne reception at the historic Palacio San Martin, which is open at night only for the highest of dignitaries...and IWF. As our bus approached the Palace, Mary noticed a throng of curious people in the neighboring park. What were they looking at? she wondered. "Then it dawned on me: they are looking to see why the palace is open this evening. They are looking at us!"
The first-ever IWF gathering in South America, this meeting of the minds and hearts was suffused with the warmth and flair of our Argentine hosts. If you couldn't be there, the conference photo album will show you what you missed. If you made the trip, these shots will bring back many memories of the camaraderie that is IWF at its finest. Either way, see you in Pittsburgh for the World Leadership Conference October 15-17.
